Information we handle

We handle your chosen nickname, room and game state, guesses and scores, connection state, timestamps, a session identifier, and basic request information needed to operate the service.

First-party cookies

The site currently uses these first-party cookies:

9upper_session: an HttpOnly guest-session cookie kept for up to 30 days. It binds this device to a player identity and supports reconnecting.
9upper_locale: a language preference cookie kept for up to 365 days. It remembers Hong Kong Traditional Chinese, Taiwan Traditional Chinese, or English.
9upper_admin: an HttpOnly cookie used only by site administrators and kept for up to 8 hours.

Service providers

Supabase provides database and realtime infrastructure.

Cloudflare provides site delivery, security, and Web Analytics, and may process request data and aggregated usage information.

When enabled, Google AdSense provides advertising and consent management. Based on your choices, Google and advertising partners may process cookies, local storage, IP addresses, device information, page activity, and ad interactions.

Advertising consent and choices

Where required, we use a Google-certified consent message with Consent, Manage options, and Do not consent. You can change or withdraw your choice using the privacy options Google displays. Refusing does not prevent gameplay.

How Google uses data from partner sites

Retention and deletion

There is currently no fixed automatic deletion period for room and game records. Data remains until routine maintenance removes it or we complete a valid deletion request. Cookies expire as described above and can also be cleared in your browser.

Your requests

You may request access, correction, or deletion of information related to you. Include enough detail to identify the relevant room or session, but never send passwords or payment information.

Age positioning

This website is a general-audience service for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children.
